Single Assignment Support (90 Minutes)
Session Details: Single Assignment Support tutoring sessions are a two-part service that includes an asynchronous planning & drafting session (detailed below) and an individual synchronous live-session assignment workshop (detailed below).
STEP 1: Asynchronous Planning & Drafting Session (Approximately 30 Minutes)
This session is completed independently by both the tutor (Me!) and the student (You!) where I ask that you share the specific assignment directions, requirements, rubric, and any related materials (including shareable class resources, literature titles, previous drafts / assignments) are shared prior to a live tutoring session. I will then review the shared materials, assignment details, and your working draft of the assignment before we meet for a live session. This allows for a personalized tutoring curriculum that meets the individual needs of the student by allowing the tutor to develop a differentiated approach to the assignment that is tailored specifically for you!
STEP 2: Synchronous Live-Session Assignment Workshop (Approximately 60 Minutes)
This is where the growth happens! We'll spend an hour together working through the specific assignment with a dual-purpose focus:
Goal A - We'll work together to identify and improve assignment-specific requirements based on feedback from the Asynchronous session.
Goal B - We'll cover strategies to help improve the overall development of student-specific competencies related to the type of assignment.
